Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Frederick Ansah Botchway has added another milestone to his career after helping Scottland FC clinch the 2024/25 Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
Scottland sealed the championship in emphatic fashion, thrashing Kwekwe United 5–1 on Matchday 32 to reach 65 points, confirming their status as league champions.
The victory crowns a historic debut top-flight campaign for the Mabviravira, who became only the second club since Independence to win the league in their maiden season.
For head coach Tonderai Ndiraya, the triumph represents back-to-back league titles, having also guided Simba Bhora to glory in the previous season.
Botchway, who played a pivotal role throughout the campaign, has now joined an elite list of Ghanaian footballers making their mark in Southern Africa.
Before his move abroad, the 29-year-old made 55 appearances for Hearts of Oak between 2020 and 2022, scoring two goals before a brief spell with FC Samartex in Ghana.
