Former Ghana goalkeeper’s trainer Abubakar Damba says he expects Adam Kwarasey and Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Nasamu Yakubu to work perfectly after the goalkeeper confirmed his recall into the national team.

Kwarasey, is expected to make a return to the national team in the international friendly against Canada after 16 months out.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper accused skipper Asamoah Gyan, and defender John Boye of influencing then Coach Kwesi Appiah into replacing him with Fatau Dauda hours before Ghana’s world cup Group game against Germany in Brazil.

The Norway born Ghana international also questioned the capabilities of goalkeeper’s trainer Nasamu Yakubu before laying down his tools for his nation.

But Abubakar Damba who himself is a former national goalkeeper says a lot of water has passed under the bridge and player and Coach should bond well.

“I think the most important thing at the moment is the nation,” Damba told Accra based Citi-FM

“It’s not the time for individual ego’s and all that the player and Coach should work together for the gain of the nation.”

“More so a lot of water has passed under the bridge and this should help them settle well.”

Ghana will take on Canada in an international friendly on October 13th in Washington.
