Representatives from Hatayspor, Everton and Newcastle United were present at the forecourt of the State House for the funeral of Christian Atsu.

The late footballer’s remains was laid at the venue for last respect to be paid before burial service in his hometown Ada.

Atsu passed away during a devastating earthquake in early February as his body was found under the rubble.

The 31- year- old joined Hatayspor in Turkey summer 2022 and featured three times, scoring once in his last appearance before passing away.
