Erik ten Hag hails Kobbie Mainoo over a great performance against Liverpool.

Manchester United gaffer Erik ten Hag has hailed English born of Ghanaian descent Kobbie Mainoo after his sterling performance in their 0- 0 drawn game away to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The 18-year-old started the game in the absence of Bruno Fernandes who missed out due to accumulation of yellow cards.

Mainoo’s contribution towards the game caught the attention of fans and the Dutchman Ten Hag.

Speaking on Mainoo after the game, Ten Hag said: ‘He has some calmness and composure. His biggest quality is his scanning but he is good physically. He is young, will adjust to the game and will adjust to the intensity of the Premier League.’

‘When you are good enough you are old enough. He proved that and when he gets used to those games, we will even get more joy from it.

Mainoo has played four games for Manchester United in the English Premier League this season.
