Goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has confirmed his departure from Ghana Premier league side, Legon Cities FC after a year stint.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper joined the Royals from Medeama SC in 2021 on a two-year deal but he is no longer interested honouring the contract.
Despite hitting the ground running, Ofori subsequently lost his place to William Essu which triggered his ask for the termination of his contract with Legon Cities.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the president of Legon Cities, the CEO, technical team, the fans and the playing body for the love they showed me during my short time with the club, I really appreciate everything ,wish the team well in the upcoming season??????” Ofori said in a Twitter post.
It has been reported Antwi is keen to join newly-promoted side Nsoatreman FC who beat Tamale City 2-1 in the Division One League play-off to gain qualification from Zone 1.
The club from the Bono Region want to bolster their team with some experience players as they prepare for their debut campaign in the top-flight.
