Premier League fans have learnt what the 2022/23 season holds for them as far as fixture schedule is concerned.
This is after the fixtures were made public on Friday, with the opening match set for 5 August.
Attention now shifts to the derby dates when the league’s top teams lock horns.
Fans will not have to wait for long as the Merseyside derby – Everton vs Liverpool, is set for early September.
There is a Manchester and London derby on October 1 as Man City host Man United while Tottenham welcome north London rivals Arsenal.
The south-coast derby is also back following FC Bournemouth’s promotion back to the Premier League.

- 3 Sep – Everton v Liverpool
- 1 Oct – Arsenal v Spurs
- 1 Oct – Man City v Man Utd
- 14 Jan – Man Utd v Man City
- 14 Jan – Spurs v Arsenal
- 11 Feb – Liverpool v Everton
South-coast derby is back
AFC Bournemouth’s return to the Premier League means they will renew their rivalry with Southampton.
The Cherries host the Saints on Tuesday 18 October before the return fixture takes place at St Mary’s Stadium on 26 April 2023.
Interestingly, the home side have won only one of the last nine meetings in all competitions.
