On Monday Night, Empoli hosts Roma at the Stadio Carlo Castellani as the home side searches for their first win of the new Serie A campaign.

The home team has yet to win in the Italian top-flight in season 2022/23. The Azzurri opened the league campaign with a 1-0 defeat at Spezia before four straight draws against Fiorentina, Lecce, Verona and Salernitana.

The Giallorossi were experiencing a good start to their campaign before a shock 4-0 defeat at Udinese last time out in Serie A.
Jose Mourinho’s team had taken ten points from their opening four games of the new league campaign before the defeat in Udine. Before the loss, Roma had also conceded just one goal in their opening four matches in Serie A.
Despite the setback, Roma still has a respectable record of four wins in their previous six outings in the Italian top-flight.
If the Giallorossi are to enjoy a successful campaign, then they will have to improve their away record, as the team from the eternal city have won just two of their last seven matches on their travels in Serie A.
