Emmanuel Toku parts ways with Belgian side Leuven after injury-hit spell

Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Toku is now a free agent after his contract with Belgian club OH Leuven was officially terminated.

Toku joined the club from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv in January 2023, but his time in Belgium was hampered by injuries.

He lasted just 22 minutes into his debut against Gent before suffering a serious setback.

Subsequent loan spells at Aalborg in Denmark and AEL Limassol in Cyprus offered game time, but he failed to regain a place in Leuven’s plans.

The 25-year-old will now be hoping to revive his career with a new club ahead of the 2025/26 season.
