Emmanuel Ntim scores consolation goal in Caen’s defeat to Le Havre

Former Ghana youth star Emmanuel Ntim was on target for SM Caen in a 2-1 home defeat against Le Havre in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday.

Ntim was brought on as a substitute in the 74th minute, replacing Ibrahim Cisse, and managed to score a consolation goal for Caen before the end of the match.

Le Havre took the lead in the 42nd minute, courtesy of a goal from defender Gautier Lloris, which they held onto until half-time. They then extended their lead 12 minutes into the second half through Moroccan midfielder Oussama Targhalline.

Although Ntim’s goal gave Caen a glimmer of hope towards the end of the match, it wasn’t enough to secure a draw or win.

Another Ghanaian player, Godson Kyeremeh, who was born in France, also made an appearance for Caen during the match, playing for 30 minutes after replacing Moussa Sylla.

Despite being affected by injuries, Ntim has managed to score two goals in 19 appearances for Caen in the French second-tier this season.
