Nations FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Karela United in a week 26 fixture of the Ghana Premier League at the Dr. Kwame Sports Complex.
Emmanuel Annor’s 26th-minute goal proved to be the difference-maker, as Nations FC dominated the game and defended well against Karela United’s second-half push.
The Kumasi-based outfit’s victory has seen them climb back to third place on the league log with 42 points.
With Nsoatreman FC’s withdrawal from the championship, Nations FC will be awarded three points and three goals in their next fixture.
On the other hand, Karela United’s recent three-game unbeaten run came to an end, leaving them in a precarious position at the top of the relegation zone.
They will look to bounce back in their next match against Aduana Stars in Nalerigu.
