Swedru All Blacks tastes first home defeat in the Access Bank Division One League after losing 1-0 to Elmina Sharks in the opening day of the 2023/24 season.
The close contest failed to produce goals in the first half despite Elmina Sharks creating some decent chances. With the game heading to a 0-0 stalemate, Joseph Effah scored the winner in the 91st minute for Elmina Sharks.
In Tarkwa newly promoted side Rospak FC recorded a massive result in their first game in the second tier League as they went passed last season’s runner up Skyy FC 1-0 at the Akoon Park. Memphis Boadi scored the only goal in the match in the 28th minute and was enough to get the newly promoted side, their first win of the season.
At the Robert Mensah stadium in Cape Coast – Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs also recorded a slim win over Sefwi All Stars with Nathaniel Appiah scoring the only goal of the match 1-0 in stoppage time.
