Elisha Owusu credits Ghana captain Andre Ayew as a source of inspiration.
Owusu, who plays for Auxerre, regards Ayew as a “big brother” and admires his legacy in Ligue 1.
Ayew’s impressive career, marked by over 200 appearances and 60 goals for Marseille, has left a lasting impact on French football.
Owusu believes Ayew’s influence will endure even after his retirement, saying,
“Everywhere you are in France, you see Ghanaians referring to him or his father, Abedi Pele. He is a big man who is leaving Ligue 1, but with what he did and showed, people will keep speaking about it.”
Owusu aims to follow in Ayew’s footsteps, carrying forward Ghana’s tradition of excellence in French.
“First of all, be humble and not think that now we have arrived. We need to keep the same hunger and willingness to fight,” he said.
