The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Egyptian referee Shahenda Saad Ali Elmaghrabi as the center official for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) third-place playoff between Ghana and South Africa.
The match will take place on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca, with kick-off set for 19:00 GMT.
Elmaghrabi will be assisted by compatriot Yara Atef (Assistant Referee I) and Tunisia’s Houda Afine (Assistant Referee II).
Tunisia’s Dorsaf Ganouati will handle fourth official duties, while Mariem Chedad of Mauritania will serve as Assistant Referee III.
CAF has also appointed Morocco’s Khadija Rezzag as Referee Assessor, Gambia’s Sainabou Cham as Match Commissioner, and Sara Bilali (Morocco) as General Coordinator.
Both Ghana’s Black Queens and South Africa’s Banyana Banyana will be aiming to end their WAFCON campaigns on a high with a podium finish.
