Egyptian giants Al Ahly in talks to sign Ghanaian striker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu from Rio Ave

Egyptian powerhouse, Al Ahly have opened talks t sign Abdul-Aziz Yakubu from Portuguese side, Rio Ave, Footballghana.com understands.

The Ghanaian striker has been on an impressive form for the club in the ongoing season.

Abdul- Aziz has so far scored eight times and has provided three assists.

However, the African giants have begun talks to sign the Ghanaian forward from Estadio dos Arcos in the ongoing January transfer window.

The ten-time African champions are looking to reclaim the CAF Champions League title from Wydad AC and also beat bitterest rivals Zamalek SC to the Egyptian Premier League title at the end of the 2022-23 season.

Abdul-Aziz Yakubu will hope to make manager Luis Freire’s starting line once again this weekend when they play as guests to Vitoria SC in match-day 15 of the Portugal Primeira Liga.

His current market value is around 2.5 million Euros and Al Ahly are ready to break the bank for the services of the Ghanaian footballer.
