In light of the recent 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw, Egypt’s national team coach, Rui Vitoria, has expressed his respect for Ghana, with both teams set to face off in Group B.
Vitoria recognizes the challenge that the Black Stars present but underlines his team’s determination to secure a spot in the tournament’s finals.
Cape Verde and Mozambique are the other two nations that make up the group.
“We are up against Ghana, a consistently strong team and perennial AFCON contender. In addition, we have Cape Verde and Mozambique, both with talented players in their ranks. Every group match will be a stern test, and we are ready because winning such games is essential for our journey to the final and the pursuit of the title,” Coach Rui Vitoria remarked.
The 2023 AFCON is slated to take place in Côte d’Ivoire from January-February 2024.
