Ghanaian left-back Ebenezer Annan has signed a long-term contract with AS Saint-Étienne until 2028, with an option for a further year.
The 22-year-old expressed his excitement about joining the French Ligue 2 side, saying,
“I am very happy to sign for AS Saint-Étienne. The club is building a good team, a great staff, and has enormous support from its fans. It is an honour for me to join this club. I will give my all in every match to help the team achieve its goals.”
Annan joins Saint-Étienne from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade, where he had a solid run of performances, featuring 19 times last season and helping the team secure both the league and cup titles.
He chose to prioritize his development and consistent playing time, opting for Saint-Étienne over other European clubs.
The deal is reportedly worth €2.5 million, and Annan will wear the number 19 shirt as he helps the team push for promotion back to Ligue 1.
