Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Ibrahim Saani Daara has called on Black Stars coach Otto Addo to make tough decisions to change the team’s fortunes.
Daara’s comments come after the Ghana’s poor performances in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
However after the shocking result some Ghanaians have called for Otto Addo’s head, Sannie Daara believes the issues plaguing the team go beyond the coaching staff.
“I don’t believe the coaching is Black Stars’ problem. This same coach (Otto Addo) led us to beat Nigeria. We went to the World Cup and beat South Korea even though we suffered an early elimination,” he told Asempa FM.
“I still believe that the team did creditably well but it doesn’t mean that we should be mute if the coach is not getting things right.
“I know there are issues about our goalkeeping department but what are the options? I believe that Otto Addo must be bold in his decision-making and drop players who don’t perform.”
The Black Stars will be in action on 15th and 18th of November against Angola and Niger respectively for the final round of qualifiers.
The Black Stars sit third in Group F, with just two points from four matches.
