Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo has admitted his side deserved the defeat at the hands of Dreams FC on week 17 of the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko suffered a huge blow in their title challenge following a 2-0 defeat by the Dawu-based side following goals by Aholou Avocevou and Agyenim Boateng.
It is a step back for their title challenge, having thrashed Accra Lions 4-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their previous outing.
“The home team [played very very well. They deserved the win. We have about seven players that are absent and we have to accept that they played better than us.”
Asante Kotoko sit third, five points adrift of Aduana FC who occupy the summit of the table.
