Veteran Ghanaian coach Abdul Karim Zito has lauded Black Stars coach Otto Addo, describing him as both a “disciplinarian” and “very tactical”.
Zito’s praise comes ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
Despite the team’s recent struggles, Zito, who coaches Dreams FC, expressed admiration for Addo’s approach to coaching.
“This coach you see, nobody can divert his course. You see him, I like him for one: he’s very disciplined and then very tactical,” he told Citi Sports.
“What he wants to do is what he did. So to me, I’m very happy. They only have to play well so they can give another opportunity to the rest of Africa.”
Ghana will face Angola on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda, and three days later, they will host Niger in their final qualifying match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18.
Ghana currently sits third in Group F with two points from four games, trailing second-placed Sudan by five points and group leaders Angola by ten points.
