Ghana’s Black Queens staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Malawi 3-1 in a pre-Women’s Africa Cup of Nations friendly match.
Malawi took the lead through Tendai Sani’s goal in the 15th minute, but Ghana equalized just eight minutes later when Doris Boaduwaa scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the box.
Boaduwaa then took center stage, scoring two more goals – one in the 60th minute and another in the 81st minute, sealing a 3-1 victory for Ghana.
The Black Queens are set to kick off their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign against South Africa on July 7, 2025.
