Essien’s return has generated a lot of hype and excitement in Ghana with the Benin game in mind but Abedi Ayew Pele says given the player’s long lay off, it will be wrong to pin the country’s hopes on him.   “He has scored two goals on his return and has looked good but after six months out its only natural that he will not be fully fit yet,” Abedi told KickOffGhana.com.   “We should not expect too much of him against Benin because no matter how good you are as a player, there is a way it affects you.”   Despite his pleas for lowered expectation, Abedi is in no doubt the impact of the player on the side.   “The fact that he will play will give the other players a certain level of belief and confidence. He is such a big player his presence will be positive for the team.”
