Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani says he’s proud of his team’s performance despite their narrow defeat to Asante Kotoko in the 2025 President’s Cup, and is confident they’ll bounce back stronger.
The Phobians took the lead in the first half through Hamza Issah, who capitalised on a goalkeeping blunder by Mohammed Camara.
But Kotoko responded quickly in the second half, with a Konadu Yiadom own goal and a strike from Kwame Opoku within a minute to turn the tie around at the Ohene Djan Stadium.
Speaking to GHOne TV after the game, Dramani acknowledged the result but focused on the positives.
“I think it’s part of the industry. We controlled but lost a key player so it made it difficult. They took their chances. I’m very impressed with the composition and execution.
“It’s early days yet. We love our supporters so much, we will come out with good performances and we want to see them behind us always.”
Hearts of Oak are now preparing to participate in the Eko International Tournament in Nigeria, as they continue building under Dramani’s leadership following his recent appointment.
