Chelsea FC new head coach Graham Potter worked with the Black Queens as a technical director at the 2007 Women’s World Cup.
The 47 year old signed a five-year contract with the English Premier League giants on Thursday after finalising a move from Brighton.
He was appointed as replacement for Thomas Tuchel who was relieved of his duties on Wednesday following the Blues’ poor start to the new season.
Before starting his managerial career in January 2011 with Swedish club Östersund, Potter was the technical director for the Black Queens at the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
He was responsible for the technical and tactical training programme, match preparation and team selection.
At the time, Potter was Hull University’s football development manager.
He has since gone on to become one of the most respected managers in the English game.
Potter has had previous coaching stints with a host of clubs including Stoke City, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion among others.
