Holland-based Dickoh and Buabeng of Scottish side Dundee United will be late replacements for the Germany-based players. KickOffGhana.com understands Vorsah is out due to visa issues, while Tagoe, who sat out Hoffenheim’s 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, is out through illness. Their absence though gives two players who have for long been on the fringes of the Black Stars the chance to stake a claim. Dickoh has not been called up by the Black Stars since he was dropped on the eve of the Nations Cup in 2008. The Denmark-born defender was so disillusioned that he mulled retirement from international football before changing his mind. While Ghana have continued to overlook him, he has flourished at club level, becoming one of the most consistant Ghanaian players in Europe last season. He has started the current season well too, scoring the winner for Utrecht over the weekend to give them a 100 percent start in the Dutch top-flight after two round of matches. Buabeng was in the Stars squad that beat Uganda in a recent friendly, but was them dropped for the two World Cup qualifying games in June. Meanwhile, Eric Addo was the first player to report to the Ghana base in London, while Sulley Muntari flew straight from China after he played in Inter Milan’s Italian Super Cup loss to Lazio at the Birds Nest Stadium in Beijing. Both Ghana and Zambia will use the game at the home grounds of Leyton Orient Football Club on Wednesday to prepare for their World Cup qualifier in September this year.
