Medeama SC recorded a 2-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars in their Ghana Premier League week 24 fixture at Tarkwa TNA Park on Tuesday.
Basake Holy Stars took the lead in the 28th minute through Issa Yakobo, but Medeama SC equalized just before halftime, courtesy of Mamudu Kamaradin’s 45th-minute strike.
The match seemed destined for a draw until Derrick Fordjour scored a late winner for Medeama SC in the 90th minute, sealing the 2-1 victory.
This win propels Medeama SC to fourth place with 38 points, while Basake Holy Stars remain in 13th position with 27 points.
Medeama SC’s next challenge is against Hearts of Oak, while Basake Holy Stars will face Berekum Chelsea.
