KFC Uerdingen have officially signed 18-year-old forward Derick Kwaku Gyamfi following an impressive showing during their first week of pre-season.
The German-born Ghanaian joins the Oberliga side from TSV Meerbusch’s U19s, where his sharp finishing caught the eye.
Gyamfi has previously developed through top youth academies, including Schalke 04, MSV Duisburg, and Rot-Weiss Oberhausen.
“Derick is a very talented striker who has already shown in training that he’s ice-cold in front of goal. He’s eager to learn and will develop tactically over the next season,” said Uerdingen head coach Julian Stohr.
Derick could be one of the breakout players of the season.
Meanwhile, Derick’s older brother, Emanuel Gyamfi, recently joined FC Aberdeen from Schalke 04 in a €250,000 move.
