Jordan Anagblah, the departed Ghana FA Vice President will be laid to rest on July 14 in Accra, the bereaved family has confirmed.

The 55-year-old died on June 14 at the SSNIT Hospital in Accra after surrendering to illness.

The sudden death of the veteran football administrator has saddened the whole football fraternity and as such a befitting burial is being arranged in his honour.

Ghana FA President Kwasi Nyantakyi led members of the bereaved family to the Ministry of Sports to officially announce Anagblah’s death and offer a formal invitation to the final funeral rites according to Ghanaian custom.

It is at this meeting on Wednesday that the Ghana FA boss announced his outfit’s plans to cater for burial and the family of the deceased.

“The Ghana FA is deeply involved and we pledge to support the upkeep of his children,” Nyantakyie said.

“We have put a committee in place to ensure that proceeds from the funeral will be invested in the upkeep of his children.”

A one week commemoration of Anagblah’s death will be observed on Thursday at Alhaji Seidu Park at Madina (Nsamanpom) in Accra.
