Medeama SC defender Mamudu Kamaradin has earned a spot in the CAF Champions League Team of the Week following his pivotal performance in his team’s triumph over CR Belouidad.
Kamaradin netted Medeama’s winner in the 2-1 victory against the Algerian opponents on Friday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
CR Belouidad initially took the lead in the 39th minute with a converted penalty by Abdelraouf Benguit. However, former WAFA SC striker Daniel Lomotey levelled the score for the Ghanaian champions just before the end of the first half.
The win served as redemption for Medeama SC, who had suffered a 3-0 defeat in Egypt in the first group game the previous Saturday.
The Ghana champions face Tanzanian champions Young Africans SC at the Baba Yara Stadium next Friday.
