Ghanaian defender Daniel Theophilus Asiedu has officially signed with Swiss Super League side FC Basel from Ghana Premier League club Berekum Chelsea.
The 20-year-old has inked a contract that will keep him at Basel until the summer of 2026, with an option for an additional three years.
The club confirmed the signing in an official statement on Monday, February 17.
“FC Basel 1893 is strengthening its defense with Daniel Theophilus Asiedu. The 20-year-old Ghanaian is joining from Berekum Chelsea FC and has signed a contract until summer 2026 with an option for a further three years,” the club announced.
Asiedu becomes the latest Ghanaian to join FC Basel, following in the footsteps of Emmanuel Essiam and Jonas Adjei Adjetey.
