Anton Donkor is the latest addition to coach Michael Schiele’s squad; the Gottingen born player has signed a contract until June 30, 2024 and joins Lowenstadt from SV Waldhof Mannheim.
In January 2017, Donkor joined Premier League side Everton on loan until the end of the season, joining up with the club’s under-23 side. In July 2017, after an injury hit first spell, he rejoined Everton on loan until January 2018.
The left-back progressed through all VfL Wolfsburg youth teams before joining FC Carl Zeiss Jena for the 2019/2020 season.
The 24-year-old most recently played for SV Waldhof Mannheim, where he spent two seasons before joining the Lowenstadt. Donkor played 33 games in the third tier last season, scoring three goals directly.
Speaking after signing Anton Donkor Eintracht Braunschweig’s Sporting Director said:
“We are happy that Anton is joining us because he was one of the top full-backs in the 3rd division and at the age of 24 he played both on the defensive and in the game the offensive still has enough potential to quickly assert itself in the 2nd Bundesliga.”
