Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu made his return from a knee injury to feature for Clermont Foot in their French Ligue 1 match against AC Ajaccio on Sunday.
The right-back, who had undergone successful surgery in early February, played for 80 minutes in the game and helped his team secure a 2-1 home win.
Despite Ajaccio taking an early lead through Mounaim El Idrissy, Seidu’s compatriot Grejohn Kyei scored two penalty goals to lead Clermont to victory.
Seidu missed Ghana’s AFCON 2023 doubleheader qualifier against Angola last month but is expected to return for the remaining Group E games in June.
The defender played for Ghana in the 2022 World Cup matches against Uruguay and Portugal.
