Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku has resumed training with his teammates following an injury layoff.
The centre-back, who has been a reliable player for the Black Stars in recent years, sustained an injury in a recent match for Fenerbahce.
This has led to his absence from Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar and Comoros.
However his return to training will be a huge boost for the Turkish giants in the ongoing 2023/2024 league campaign.
He is expected to play for Ghana in the 2023 African Cup of Nations that will be stage in Ivory Coast next year.
Djiku has played 22 games for Ghana and scored a goal.
