De Gea: Man United dont deserve Champions League football

Manchester United keeper David De Gea has made an honest assessment of his Manchester United team.

The Ralf Rangnick-coached side went 3-1 down to Arsenal on Saturday afternoon to blow their slim chance of making it to the Champions League next season and according to the Spaniard, his club doesn’t deserve to play in the competition next season.

“I’m always honest, today we could have got more from this game but in this season we are where we deserve to be,” De Gea said on Twitter after the game.

De Gea isn’t the first player to criticize the team this season with Bruno Fernandes telling reporters last week that there’s nothing left to play for this season.

United have now lost their last four away matches in the Premier League and are sixth in the table after the loss at the Emirates and West Ham could overtake them on Sunday should they win over Chelsea.
