David Accam: Helsingborg star insists his absence did not affect his team-mates in Malmö FF stalemate

Ghana attacker David Accam insists his absence did not have any influence on Helsingborg’s performance despite their failure to amass victory at Malmo FF in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday.

The 23-year-old has been in blistering shape for Helsingborg having netted 14 league goals to aid their campaign but had to be left out of their squad for their trip to Malmo due to suspension.

“Somehow yes, I could have made an impact but my team-mates gave out their best,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Yes, I missed the game due to suspension but I will be back for the next game.”

Accam has returned to the Helsingborg line-up and is expected to play against Brommapojkarna on Wednesday night.
