David Abagna inspires RTU in epic fight back win over Kotoko in Tamale —

Real Tamale United (RTU) fought from behind to claim an epic victory over Asante Kotoko in a matchday 8 clash at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale on Saturday evening.

The Pride of the North have now beaten Kotoko 2-1 in their last meetings in Tamale in the Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko bossed the first-half show with Cameroonian Georges Mfegue netting the opener from a Serge Zeze artistic assist just moments before the break.

However, Baba Nuhu’s men staged a strong second-half performance with midfield maestro David Abagna Sandan orchestrating the attack from the middle. The 24-year-old first cleverly set up Hearts of Oak loanee Issa Kuka to peck the scoring on the 63rd-minute mark before he netted the match winner 2 minutes later.

The win has temporarily moved RTU to the 8th position on the league log with 11 points.
