Ghana defender Daniel Opare is in no rush to land a permanent spot in the Black Stars.

The impressive 21-year-old versatile defender has struggled to break into the starting line-up of the Black Stars in recent times.

He was kept on the bench during the 2012 African Cup of Nations held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea by Serbian trainer Goran Stevanovic.

The Standard Liege player was also left in the cooler during the 2014 World Cup qualifying games against Lesotho and Zambia with head coach Kwesi Appiah preferring Samuel Inkoom at the right-full back position.

But the former Ghana Under-17 star wants to bid his time to return to the fold in full flight.

“I have played at two different positions in the team before and so I am not perturbed at all,” Opare told Accra-based Happy FM

“I was drafted to the right-full back position and we managed to qualify to the Nations Cup. But the coach opted to leave me on the bench during the Nations Cup.

“I had no problems with that because the collective victory of the team is paramount.

“Every player wants to get regular playing time in the Black Stars. I am not in a rush at all because I am very young and so my time will come.
