Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea has been appointed as a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for the CAF Champions League final first leg match between Pyramids FC and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Laryea will join Rwandan referee Salima Mukansanga as lead VAR officials. The match will take place on May 24 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.
Sudanese referee Mahmoud Ismail has been appointed to officiate the match, assisted by Mohamed Abdullah (Sudan) and Ahmed Abdel Razek (Djibouti). Pacifique Ndayeha and Nyama (Burundi) will serve as fourth official.
Ismail, 37, is a prominent African referee who has officiated several high-profile matches, including the CAF Champions League final between Wydad Casablanca and Mamelodi Sundowns. He has also refereed three CAF Champions League matches this season.
