Young striker Daniel Adu-Adjei has completed a permanent move from English side Bournemouth to Croatian champions HNK Rijeka on a four-year contract.

The 20-year-old forward joins the Croatian giants after an exceptional season with Bournemouth’s U21s, where he netted 25 goals in just 16 appearances.

His outstanding form also earned him the Bournemouth Academy’s Player of the Year award in 2024, underlining his reputation as one of the most promising prospects to emerge from the club in recent years.

Born to Ghanaian parents, Adu-Adjei has been on the radar of several clubs across Europe, but Rijeka’s ambition and track record of developing young talent reportedly played a key role in his decision to sign.

The deal marks an important step in Adu-Adjei’s career as he now prepares to test himself in Croatia’s top flight while gaining experience in European competitions with the reigning champions.

Despite his remarkable form at youth level in England, Adu-Adjei is yet to make a senior international appearance.

However, his rise in European football has brought growing attention from Ghana, who see him as a potential addition to the Black Stars’ attack in the near future.
