The Black Stars have preferred Ghana’s second city for their key games and Amoah says it is down to the passion that the crowd shows. “In Kumasi they cheer for much of the game, they show great passion which is something the team needs,” he told KickOffGhana.com.
“We played most of our games there in the last world cup qualifiers and they played a key part in the qualification. I hope they do this time too.” Amoah was a key part in the run-up to 2010 with three goals and is hopeful he can contribute his fair share of goals in the current campaign. Critically though he wants the team to start in whirlwind fashion and is confident Benin cannot alter that. “With all due respect we will beat Benin on Sunday. We are confident and in Kumasi I cannot see how we will lose,” he said.
