Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has lavished praise on Cristiano Ronaldo, describing the 40-year-old as a “machine” with an insatiable hunger for goals.
Partey faced Ronaldo during his time at Almeria and Atletico Madrid, and witnessed first-hand the Portuguese superstar’s clinical finishing.
“He is a machine who is focused on goals; he only wants to score,” Partey told Kafyi Dey.
He noted that playing against Real Madrid, particularly when Ronaldo is involved, can be daunting.
“You can dominate all you want, but they get the ball and feed Ronaldo and boom, they score,” Partey added.
Partey also reflected on the challenge of facing Lionel Messi, emphasizing that it was not just about stopping the Argentine legend, but also dealing with the rest of Barcelona’s talented squad.
“You are not only playing against Messi. You are playing against Iniesta, Busquets, Xavi, and the others,” he said.
