Former Sports Minister, Mustapha Ussif, has weighed in on the Black Queens’ success, attributing their bronze medal win in the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) to coordination between the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the government, and corporate bodies.
The Black Queens’ remarkable bronze medal win in the just-ended WAFCON has sparked celebrations and praise for the team’s dedication and hard work.
During the team’s visit to parliament on Tuesday, Former Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif attributed the team’s success to coordination between the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the government, and corporate bodies.
“Any time there is coordination between the GFA, the government, and corporate body, you will see success,” Ussif said, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving sporting excellence.
The former Sports Minister also urged corporate institutions to extend their support to the Black Queens, just as they do to the Black Stars.
“I want to urge corporate institutions to support not only the Black Stars but the Black Queens as well.”
