The Black Stars are looking to maintain top spot in their Nations Cup qualifying group and had hoped for the game to be played on Saturday March 26 and give the players a lot more room for rest before the friendly at Wembley on March 29.
But the Congolese are adamant the game will take place on the Sunday.
“We tried really hard to convince the Congolese to move the qualifier to a Saturday but they refused and insist on sticking to the Sunday. Maybe they sense an advantage in that but we are prepared for that,” GFA vice-president Fred Pappoe told KickOffGhana.com.
Pappoe says the GFA has prepared extensively for the qualifier in Brazzaville. He confirmed the team will converge in Nairobi for camping from March 21 and fly to the Congolese capital a day before the match.
The Black Stars will then fly out immediately out to Nairbo enroute to London for the game at Wembley.
