Conceding early against Samartex contributed to our defeat – Aduana Stars coach Yaw Acheampong

Head coach of Aduana Stars Football Club, Yaw Acheampong has disclosed that conceding very early in their game against Samartex FC contributed to their defeat on Monday afternoon.

The team from Dormaa hosted Samartex FC today in their Round 18 game of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

Just 8 minutes into the game played at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, Samartex FC scored and went on to secure a 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

Speaking after the game, Aduana Stars coach Yaw Acheampong admitted that conceding the early goal did not help his side.

He said his team would move on immediately to target a win in their next game.

“I think I’m satisfied with the performance, especially in the second half but we conceded very early and it made the game very difficult for us.

“We made the mistake for them to score earlier so it made the game very difficult for us. But that’s football. We will see what we will do in the next game,” Coach Yaw Acheampong said.

Up next for Aduana Stars, the team will take on Medeama Sporting Club.
