Spaniard manager, Jose Riveiro has revealed having discussion with former Black Stars midfielder Anthony Annan before before moving to Orlando Pirates.
He has been appointment for the next three years, having left Finnish team FC Inter Turku.
The 46-year-old, who divulged his “good relationship” with Annan at the aforementioned club, expressed how influential the veteran was in his move to South Africa.
“We spoke a lot about African football and especially about the South Africa league. He always says the PSL is the most attractive in Africa so what I see here is not new for me,” Riveiro said during his unveiling.
“Since I came here my mind set changed, the level of football, the team, the individual players, the league and how well the competition is organsed. The league is now positive than before I had the chance to coach here.”
