Coach Otto Addo is eyeing a difficult campaign for the Black Stars at the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
Ghana is in Group B with Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique, hoping to navigate through the group stages and stand a chance of winning the title for the first time since 1982.
“Nowadays there are no weak teams, everybody can defend which makes it very difficult for Ghana and the first step is to qualify for the next stage, that is, to survive the group stage- to finish as best as possible and maybe get easier opponents in the following round”, Otto said to gtv sports plus.
“I think if Ghana starts to win in the group stage, anything is possible.
“It’s like I said, step-by-step and it is a young team that comes together. It is not easy to put all the things together at these championships (AFCON), anything can happen.
The African Cup of Nations will start on January 13th to Ferbuary 11th in Ivory Coast.
The Black Stars kickoff their campaign against Cape Verde on January 14.
