Coach Ogum was taking almost GHS30,000 per month as Asante Kotoko head coach – Songo reveals

A management team member of Asante Kotoko, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo has disclosed that Coach Prosper Nartey has been on a monthly salary of almost GHS30,000.

This salary of the coach has been revealed by the Multimedia presenter while speaking out of frustration following the resignation of the Ghanaian tactician.

According to him, although he won’t say the coach was taking home GHS30,000, he can confirm that it was well in the region of GHS25,000.

In his view, he said Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has decided to resign because he is scared to take the club to Africa.

Unhappy with the decision of the former WAFA SC manager, Countryman Songo says he should go if he wants.

He insists that if Asante Kotoko wants a new manager, it will get one without any hustle.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have today announced that the club will no longer be participating in the upcoming Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) top six tournament.
