Former AshGold trainer Ernest Thompson has shown interest in the Heart of Oak vacant job after the departure of Martin Koopman
Hearts severed ties with the Dutch trainer following the club’s unimpressive outing in the ongoing Ghana Premier League week.
Names including C.K Akonnor, Yaw Preko, and Bashir Hayford have been linked with a move for the role.
In an interview with Kessben FM, Thompson positioned himself as one of the capable coaches in the local scene who could take charge of Hearts of Oak.
“We have very competent coaches and I see myself as one of those coaches to handle Hearts of Oak and make it great it again,” he said.
Assistant coach, Abdul Bashiru has been tasked to lead the club on interim basis until a substantive coach is named.
