Former head Coach of Bechem United, Bismark Kobi Mensah has revealed reason behind his departure from the club after the first round of the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.
Mensah attributed his exit to the inability of the Hunters to pay salaries owed him.
According to Bismark, constant demand of his wages led to the termination of his contract.
“I’ve not been with the club since week 14 after we beat Accra Lions. We were preparing for our next game against the Aduana Stars, and we complained about unpaid bonuses. We had gone 10 games unbeaten and were fifth,” he told ghanasportspage.com.
“They cleared the players’ bonuses in three straight separate payments without giving the coaches a penny. When we went to ask President Agama why we had not been paid, he said,’Even Kotoko and Hearts are in debt, ” He added.
The team is looking forward to appoint new head coach for the second department of the season after the exit of Coach Kobi.
The Hunters are 9th on the league standings with 26 points after 18 games and will host league Leaders Samatex 1996 in their next fixture.
