Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei played a pivotal role in VfL Bochum’s impressive 3-0 victory over Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

Antwi-Adjei, a key asset for Bochum, showcased his playmaking prowess by securing an assist during the encounter at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

The clash was marked by Bochum’s dominance, adding another chapter to the head-to-head history between the two teams. Before this match, VfL Bochum had seven wins, Union Berlin with 11 wins, and four draws. However, it was Bochum who emerged triumphant on this occasion.

Antwi-Adjei, who commenced the game in the starting lineup, exhibited his skills for 72 minutes before being substituted.

The first goal came courtesy of Takuma Asano, who netted a right-footed shot from close range after a well-executed corner kick.

The second goal, scored in the 54th minute by Gonçalo Paciência, was a testament to Antwi-Adjei’s influence as he provided the crucial assist with a precise right-footed delivery from the center of the box.

The game’s outcome was sealed in the 78th minute when Kevin Stöger confidently converted a penalty with a left-footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Antwi-Adjei’s impact in the match was not only felt in the assist column but also reflected in his overall season performance. Having played 13 games in the Bundesliga this season, the Ghanaian winger has notched up one goal and one assist.
