Inform Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil has stated that coach Chris Hughton is bent on building a formidable Black Stars team that can win trophies in the future.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion was named by the country’s football governing body after Otto Addo stepped down when Ghana exited the World Cup.
He recorded a win and a draw against Angola in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in March.
“He (Chris Hughton) is a very good coach. I hope that he helps us in terms of growing as a team, ” he said.
“He intends to build us to win trophies in the future.”
Paintsil made his return to the Black Stars against Angola after being left out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
